Abstract:
The visual range of 200 children, with normal vision, without corrective lenses, aged 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years, were tested at their schools employing Landolt rings.
Results indicate a highly significant increase with age and some differences between sexes in the rate of change. Greatest increases were found for the 6-8, 10-12 year groups with boys being slightly more advanced than girls overall.
This result is generally consistent with those of previous studies, although the changes were not uniform with them.
