dc.description.abstract The visual range of 200 children, with normal vision, without corrective lenses, aged 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years, were tested at their schools employing Landolt rings. Results indicate a highly significant increase with age and some differences between sexes in the rate of change. Greatest increases were found for the 6-8, 10-12 year groups with boys being slightly more advanced than girls overall. This result is generally consistent with those of previous studies, although the changes were not uniform with them. en_NZ
