Abstract:
Education is a term widely used to include the development and training of individuals to achieve goals and give them skills and knowledge that will make them capable of successfully negotiating their way through life. People teach other people of all ages and endeavour to pass on the tools that will be invaluable for whatever direction in life they choose. For adults the options are set before them and they make their own educational choices. For children the options are more restricted for in many countries of the world adults have set in place a period of compulsory education when children are guided by decisions and choices made by others. Not only are occupational skills and knowledge required, social responsibility is also taught. As children grow so they form attitudes and values. They absorb information and develop analytical and critical skills. They develop curiosity; they explore, become more aware, criticize, judge, tolerate, respect and learn responsibility. These experiences contribute to producing a 'whole' person
