Abstract:
A selective annotated bibliography on New Zealand's women in business from 1990-1999 inclusive. The bibliography focuses on women ownership or leadership of business enterprises encompassing self-employed women who have developed small businesses, women in managerial roles ranging from low to senior management through to women who hold executive positions of control and board directorships in large New Zealand companies and organisations.
This bibliography presents New Zealand monographs, theses, working papers, research reports, official publications, conference papers, directories, periodicals and periodical articles on New Zealand's women in business in the 1990s.
This bibliography is directed towards those researching the recent history of New Zealand's businesswomen, specifically those wishing to begin or further a career in business ownership or management, or students and teachers of New Zealand business and management studies, social and economic history and women's studies. The material ranges from academic theoretical approaches to popular magazine articles highlighting personal and business success stories, barriers encountered by women in business, guides to establishing business enterprises and general discussion of issues relating to women in business.
Annotations are descriptive, rather than evaluative or analytical.
