Selected and annotated bibliography of monographs in the National union catalogue of New Zealand relating to French exploration and colonisation in the South Pacific until 1900 : a guide for undergraduate history students

Abstract

This bibliography records cites, describes and assesses monographs in the New Zealand National Union Catalogue with significant content, in volume or conceptually, regarding the exploration and colonisation of the South Pacific by the French up to the year 1900. Since there are no bibliographies specifically addressing this subject, this is intended to be an evaluative and descriptive bibliography of published materials, not original manuscripts, maps, periodicals, works of art, and ephemera. However, where there are unpublished items of value they are cited. It has been written for first- to third- year, undergraduate students in a tertiary level course who have yet to graduate.
