Annotated bibliography of contemporary and traditional New Zealand carving in bone, stone and wood 1950-1997

Abstract

This annotated bibliography aims to provide access to the published literature on carving and notable carvers in bone, stone and wood in New Zealand. Contemporary "New Zealand" design motifs and traditional Maori carvings are noted where they are shown in visual form, either in printed or film format, a brief description of the length of the item, the topics and depth to which they are covered is noted.
