Abstract:
The aim of this bibliography is to facilitate the construction of an accurate representation of the military achievements of Te Kooti Arikirangi Te Turuki( 1830?-1893). It will take the form of an annotated bibliography, chronologically ordered by military engagement. The bibliography is constructed with the objective of providing its users with a starting point for military scholarship on Te Kooti. Manuscripts, lettes, government documents, thesis and dissertations and newspapers will be consulted to compile this bibliography of the military deeds of Te Kooti between 1865 and 1872. This bibliography will draw attention to relevant primary and secondary sources on the subject of this Maori leader's military accomplishments. Sources will be selected that provide the most in-depth insights into the military achievements of this important Maori leader.
