Abstract

This paper deals with the International Criminal Court and procedural violations that might occur or have already occurred before it. Main issues will concern the right to a fair trial and the checks and balances implemented in the court. The topic will be addressed using the example of Thomas Lubanga Dyilo, the first case ever to be tried before the ICC. Problems arose concerning the disclosure of evidence to the defence.
