Abstract

During his architectural career, Frank Lloyd Wright had claimed that the exposure to Froebel's blocks in his early childhood education influenced his later architecture development. Appendix 02, p.57 Numerous investigations on this claim have raised the question about the relationship between architectural development of children and what they are exposed to. With Wright's claim in mind, this research paper intends to explore the topic of architectural education in young children with the following questions: How can LEGO be used to make children aware of basic architectural issues? How can children use LEGO to explore architectural ideas? How can LEGO be used to develop architectural understanding in children?
