Abstract:
A digital data logging system has been developed using an APPLE II PLUS microcomputer and standard accessories. The system uses a twelve-bit sixteen channel A/D convertor to collect data which is then digitally filtered and stored on floppy disk. A maximum rate of one sample every six seconds is possible. Data can be displayed numerically, as a strip chart plot, or as a cartesian plot of two channels, and permanent records of the data in each form can be obtained from the dot-matrix printer. A general purpose interface card providing parallel and serial I/O ports and independent timing signals has also been developed.
