Abstract:
The object of this Thesis is to submit recommendations for the reform of one aspect of the law of charitable trusts, namely, the requirement that in order to be charitable a trust must be for the public benefit.
My research was provoked by the complex and unsatisfactory state of the present law. I hope that the nature of the reform which I have suggested will be accepted as a suitable method by which the law can be changed.
