Abstract:
This paper presents the results of the study of some aspects of reproduction of the New Zealand members of Dawsonia superba. The plants investigated were collected from the Tauwherenikau Valley, Tararua Ranges; Erua, National Park; and the Orongorongo Ranges.
A plan showing the distribution of Dawsonia superba plants in a small area in the Tauwherenikau Valley, Plate 4, Fig. 3, cearly illustrates the pattern and efficiency of reproduction of this moss.
