Fourteen genera are included, and a total of 17 species are described, with a summary of variations and the geographic and bathymetric ranges. Peribolaster powelli nov. sp. is described. Except for 3 species, all have been previously recorded from the Ross Sea and the majority are circumpolar in distribution.
