It discusses some of the planning considerations necessary before erecting a farm building, constraints that may affect its design and some options of building systems offered by modern day technology. Suggestions are offered on how to better relate structures to their landscape through careful siting and design. The report concludes with a call to all involved with the agricultural landscape to design sensitively, and for professionals to take a more active role in the field of farm building siting and design.pdfen-NZFarm buildingsArchitectureAgricultural architecture: farm buildings in the landscapeText
