Research was conducted via interviews with leaders in both countries and analysed qualitatively using a thematic approach. The data was benchmarked against Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions and Goleman’s Six Leadership Styles. The findings illustrate there is a dramatic difference in the approach to leadership in each country. India has a more authoritative approach where New Zealand maintains a highly democratic stance. The report highlights how different the leadership styles are in each nation it also offers insight into some of the commonalities.
