Thematically based about the tenets 'Self-Help' book of dubious quality, the series is similar to a soap-opera, where a diverse range of characters and story-lines are followed. However, unlike most typical soaps, it is more along the lines of 'The Secret Life of Us', 'Cold Feet', '6 Foot Under' etc, where the characters, situations and themes are explored with depth. The structure of the series consists of six individuals (and narrator, of sorts), each following an separate individual journey. These narratives start out disconnected from the others, but in the course of each episode (and the series as a whole), they come together as the characters influence each others' fates. Oh, and there's many helpful tips on how to make that winning CV, and keep your love-life alive.en-NZThis thesis is not available.
