It has been shown that unlike the hydrolysis of aryl selenates the reaction probably proceeds by an A-1 mechanism. Nucleophilic catalysis by amines has been observed in the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl sulphate and intramolecular carboxyl group catalysis occurs with salicyl sulphate as with salicyl phosphate. The object of this study was to investigate the catalytic effects of acid and of metal ions on sulphate esters.pdfen-NZhttps://www.wgtn.ac.nz/library/about-us/policies-and-strategies/copyright-for-the-researcharchiveEstersHydrolysisSulfatesChemistryKinetic studies of the hydrolysis of sulphate estersTextAll rights, except those explicitly waived, are held by the Author
