dc.description.abstractThe aim of this bibliography is to document the conservation and scientific research that has taken place on Kapiti Island Nature Reserve. Emphasis is placed on the international importance of the reserve. It contains information on the legal status of the island, and its management. It concentrates on the bird species and other native animals present. The endangered species of the island are reviewed. Information on the island's vegetation is provided. The bibliography looks at the pests that have previously occupied the reserve, their control and eradication. A section of general interest is includeden_NZ
