Abstract

This work is divided into three stages. 1. An introduction to the theory of the Mössbauer Effect with a review of the literature. 2. The construction and development of a mechanically driven Mössbauer assembly and spectrometer. 3. The application of the Mössbauer Effect to some chemical problems.
