Abstract

The 16PF(A & C Forms), POI, STAI, and a Questionnaire on health and drug usage, were given simultaneously to an experimental group(N=30), and a control group(N=16), before and 3-4 months after the experimental group started the TM Technique. The experimental group changed significantly (p.01, p.05), on; 10 of the 16 factors on the 16PF, on 7 of the 12 scales on the POI, and on both the Trait and the State scales of the STAI, No significant changes were found for the control group. The results indicate improved psychological adjustment(16PF), increased Self-Actualization(POI), decreased anxiety(STAI), and improved physcial health with a significant decrease in prescribed and non-prescribed drug usage.
