dc.description.abstract | This theoretical architectural project is an attempt to experience textual meanings by forming an analogous relationship between components relating to Bernard Tschumi's erotic definition of architecture and a personal experiential interpretation of an underground bunker system. The underground bunker system is a labyrinthine space and the experience of its parts enables the realisation of its whole. The experience of a 'real' bunker system provides a structure in which the components of Tschurni's erotic theory of architecture are presented and organised. Hence, in this project, concepts 'inhabit' real spaces and the experience of these spaces define an overall concept. This text is an experimental discourse that explores the link between two opposing architectural spaces: space as a praxis and space of reason. It attempts to re-present Bernard Tschumi's erotic definition of architecture by constructing fragments of text (components of his definition with elements of a personal interpretation), and relating them spatially. | en_NZ |
