Abstract
The aim of this research topic is to record the major works of three Wellington Architectural Offices whose activity during the 70's lead to what has become known as the Wellington style.
The work covered is not a complete list of each firms output./ Alteration and regeneration commissions, plus buildings not suitable for viewing from the roadside, have not been emphasised and out of town work is not included.
Each building has been catalogued according to its designated zone, commissioning client, location, year built, builder and construction. Incorporated within the report is a slide catalogue of the buildings and appended two urban trails which guide the participant around a cross section of each Architects work.
The research topic forms no conclusions about the buildings concentrating its comments instead upon interpretations of statistical information comparing the Architects.
The main objective being to introduce and guide the newcomer to their buildings and let them reach their own subjective conclusions. A second objective is to provide a resource suitable for Architectural students studying the subject Architects and save them the arduous groundwork.
