Abstract

There is, in the literature on interpersonal perception a sharp cleavage between research which emphasizes accuracy of judgements and that which focuses on the process itself i.e., how a person judges. A growing number of research workers have abandoned work on the assessment of judging ability in favour of the view that this exists only in specific instances with a particular person using a certain instrument.
