New earthquake technologies and their applications in New Zealand

Abstract

Many new and interesting technologies for the protection of structures from the threat of earthquake are being developed around the world. Some new technologies are extremely sophisticated and complex. Although New Zealand has been applying earthquake protection technologies to buildings for some years now. We haven't yet used any of the highly sophisticated devices that have been developed overseas.
