Craft in the Making of Architecture

Abstract

This report is an investigation into the idea of 'making' in architecture. Specifically, it looks at the notion of craft and how it relates to this process of making. Rather than being a technical discussion concerning construction in the field of architecture, it is an exploration of the principles, values and beliefs that underlie the making of architecture and, as such, is a reflection of my own position on the subject.
