A selective annotated bibliography on the use of clustering as an economic development tool in New Zealand. The bibliography gives some background on the important works in the clustering library, and does move outside the date range given to accommodate these. It attempts to cover indigenous cluster material, with a particular focus on the Wellington Smart City Clustering Programme, due to its temporal and geographic nearness, as well as a varied overview from an international perspective. This bibliography is directed towards a wide audience. It is hoped that it will be of use to tertiary level students of management, economics and community development, as well as be of use to cluster practitioners in pinpointing what literature is available on the topic. It will be a useful reference for those contemplating forming or joining a cluster, and beneficial for government bodies seeking a context for cluster programmes. Accordingly, there are a variety of different sources cited, from mainstream magazine and newspaper articles to academic treatises on the theoretical base of collaborative networking. Annotations are descriptive, rather than evaluative or analytical.en_NZ
