Abstract
Stained glass is often called a "lost art". The problems which initiated this reference have been generated as a result of the changing styles and roles of public and private architecture in society. It is largely due to this change in direction and technology which has led to a lack of confidence in the use of stained glass by Architects and Artists alike. But surely the fundamental relationship of Man to his architecture has not altered. The broadened base of architecture must surely be treated as an advantage, the possibilities of the medium have never been so diverse.
