dc.description.abstractSeveral cobalt pentammine complexes of the type cis-[Co(en)2 (Namino acid ester)Cl]Cl2 and cis β [Co(trien)(Namino acid ester)Cl]Cl2 have been prepared, and their rates of base hydrolysis followed using a pH stat at 25°C and I = 0.1M (KCl). Ethyl glycinate, β-alanine ethyl and methyl esters and O-acetylethanolamine are used as the co-ordinated amino acid esters, and on the basis of results obtained reaction schemes are suggested.en_NZ
