dc.description.abstract | This paper is an investigation and discussion into the domain of Contemporary Maori Art and its relevance in todays arena of public art. The vehicle that has been used for this research is the specific area of sculpture and in particular the public works of Maori Artists in conjunction with Pakeha Artists. Over the course of the research period the program for the report has changed from the initial intention to analyze the case studies herein to searching for the "meaning" of Contemporary Maori Art. The findings of this report may have implications for architecture in general as as it also relevant to and inclusive of the other disciplines of design. | en_NZ |
