One of the most fruitful sources of information about the structure of the molecule has, in recent years been the study of the parachor. Unfortunately this includes the measurement of the surface tension, a physical property peculiar to the liquid state. It would therefore, be desirable to extend the range of these measurements by making use of solutions.en_NZ
