dc.description.abstract | For her twenty-fifth birthday Star decides to do something different. She is sick of her birthday being made of fir trees and snowflakes, so she sends out invitations saying - An Upside Down Christmas - with a single Pohutakawa flower on a blue background. On the day before the party Ross buys her a Manuka plant, spiky green, and they string it with silver and green tinsel, and put it on the table with a space beside it for presents. Instead of turkey they eat ham with cold salads - orzo, red onion and green. And then afterwards they have a pavlova with sliced strawberries and kiwifruit, which Star makes herself. She serves it with vanilla ice cream and a summer fruit salad. | en_NZ |
