Abstract

This study presents an overview of current New Zealand architecture and its direction as perceived by ten Wellington architects. The architects were asked questions on the current direction and identity of New Zealand architecture. Their comments were taped and then reviewed and discussed in relation to a general model of "Rational Regionalism". The model is based on an interpretation of Kenneth Frampton's paper, "Ten points on an Architecture of Regionalism".
