Abstract

Recent moves by the architectural discourse towards fluid, curvilinear forms have given rise to the increased use of the computer in architectural practice. This research aims to look the way in which these new technologies have affected our perception of architecture and altered the forms being produced. To do this, three case studies that made prevalent use of computer technologies during their design and production have been examined. I would like to thank my supervisor, Paul Walker for his ability to see the ideas behind tenebrific writing and Mark Goulthorpe for continually replying to my incessant e-mails.
