Abstract
Past bibliographies have either primarily focussed on women or employment, rarely both. Material relating to women's domestic work or the juggling of work and family is relatively difficult to find.
The bibliography presents New Zealand bibliographies, monographs, official publications, statistical reports, theses and major periodical articles on housewives, working wives and mothers.
The bibliography is directed toward those researching New Zealand women's employment, specifically their unpaid work, the impact of working wives/mothers on the family, and the issues faced by women who wish to combine work and family.
Entries are divided into six major subject areas, 'General Texts and Bibliographies', 'Dual Careers and Paid Employment', 'Housework and Unpaid Work', 'Housewives and Domesticity', 'Work and Childcare' and 'Return to Work'.
Annotations are descriptive, rather than evaluative or analytical.
