Abstract
This report is a guide for architecture students and for architects involved with feasibility studies concerning the condition of stone on buildings. It describes the various modes of deterioration of stone, and the cause and symptoms, and explains tests and investigative techniques in current use. It also includes an analysis and evaluation of the range of restorative actions available, and recommendations for remedial and preventative practices.
