Abstract
The area under discussion embraces the drainage basin of the streams flowing into Porirua Harbour, which is situated on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand about eighteen miles north-east of Cape Terawhiti, the most south-westerly point of the Island. Some other localities are described and discussed, where necessary for the elucidation of problems connected with the area. The area covered In the discussion is approximately sixty square miles in extent.
