This study deals with the systematics and distribution of Collembola mainly from the South West Pacific region. Twenty-six new species are described. The collembolan fauna of the South West Pacific region shows strong affinities to both Australia and New Zealand zoogeographically. It shows a north-south as well as east-west migration and towards the east the fauna becomes progressively poorer in variety and numbers of species.en_NZ
