Abstract
Education is seen by Pacific nations as a key to the development of their islands states as well as the population. This research will examine the performance of Niue Islands scholarship students. It will specifically analyse their tertiary performance both academically and socially. It will also provide an account of interviews with students who have completed their studies (under the scholarship awards) and are presently working in Niue and abroad. Using a qualitative methodology, data was gathered from current students and graduates by conducting one-to-one interviews. The research will consider how the administration of the scholarship awards operate for the students who continue pursuing higher education at a tertiary level. This research is written in the hope that the information contained within will be useful to the overall report system of scholarship students and the administration.
