New Zealand business information : a pilot study for off shore access

Abstract

This paper is a pilot study to explore the possibility of off shore access to New Zealand business information. A small sample of New Zealand business information sources were chosen to assess the methodology devised to evaluate off shore access. Directories were chosen to be assessed for ease of access, content, format and cost. Although the results cannot be generalised to include all sources of New Zealand business information, it is clear from this study that it would be difficult to access an adequate selection of directories to satisfy expected requests.
