dc.description.abstract Ken Catran has been a successful and prolific writer over the last thirty years. He was a full-time scriptwriter for twenty years beginning in 1975 when he was thirty. Since 1992 he has concentrated on writing novels for young adults and has produced over forty-one books. Ken Catran is widely read in Australia and the United Kingdom but in New Zealand writers for children and young adults are often overlooked. This bibliography seeks to show the depth and breadth of his work and to act as a reference for teachers and students of New Zealand literature. An attempt has been made to record all his work for television, young adult fiction and non-fiction for adults, to date. The main body of the bibliography is arranged under literary genre followed by a section annotating articles on his life and work, arranged by author. There is an author index, a title index and a subject index. The appendixes provide a chronological list of Ken Catran's work, works yet to be published and a list of works unavailable for annotation. en_NZ
