dc.description.abstract The teaching of the English language to non-native speakers within New Zealand is a field which has expanded considerably since the mid 1980s. As demand for teaching has increased over the last 10-15 years, so too has the quantity of teaching materials produced. There is at present no up-to-date annotated bibliography of New Zealand published ESOL materials. Although a number of annotated bibliographies already exist for overseas material, and contain many useful resources, many of these items use examples which are unfamiliar or irrelevant to New Zealanders. Thus there is a need for the New Zealand material to be organised bibliographically, to enable teachers to identify suitable resources with a local flavour en_NZ
