dc.description.abstract |
A key focus of this essay will be whether the LIS group have been able to effectively fulfil their bicultural objectives and to ensure that there " ... be more attention given to the congruence between the course objectives and content, and the ... teaching practise of the course ... "1 as is done in the Nursing profession in New Zealand. The aim of this paper is not to point out the failure of the LIS group to meet its bicultural responsibilities but to encourage an analysis of the bicultural objectives and to help the department establish firm roots from which they can evaluate and contribute to the knowledge and development of biculturalism in libraries in Aotearoa New Zealand. |
