Central Southland : an annotated bibliography requirements

Abstract

There is no existing bibliography covering the Central Southland area. The bibliographies provided in some of the histories written within the area are generally very small and of limited scope. The existing bibliographies covering Southland as a whole are either out-of-date or provide limited coverage of Central Southland. The purpose of this bibliography then is to provide the people of the area with an accessible and comprehensive guide to the material published in or about the area. It is intended for laypeople, but will hopefully also be of use to scholars. To that end holdings are listed for the Hocken and Alexander Turnbull research libraries.
