An examination of the ways in which academic libraries in New Zealand restrict the Internet access of their students and the reasons for doing so. Four academic libraries were interviewed and general trends and themes noted. It was discovered that most restrict access due more to cost factors rather than moral arguments. It was also discovered that while most had a written Internet usage policy, more actively enforced this policy. |
