This paper examines the provision of current awareness services by private sector special libraries in Wellington, New Zealand. The issues of service type, recipients, sources, delivery and motivation are examined, highlighting common themes and characteristics. The description and identification of commonly produced services will supplement the small amount of literature on the subject, assisting special libraries and information services to make informed decisions about the provision of future services. |
