dc.description.abstract The New Zealand armed forces have been increasingly involved in international peacekeeping operations under the mandate of organisations such as the United Nations, yet there has not been adequate bibliographic access to material discussing this involvement. This annotated bibliography provides access to monographic literature, periodical and newspaper articles, official publications and theses on the historical contribution of the New Zealand Army, Navy, Air Force and Police to international multilateral peacekeeping from 1952 to 2000. All works are available in New Zealand. An introduction describes the objectives, intended audience, selection criteria, methodology and arrangement of the bibliography. Bibliography entries are organised into sections by the country or geographic region that the operation took place in, with a separate section covering works on operations in more than one location. Annotations are descriptive. An index which includes authors, titles, subjects, names and keywords provides access to the entries. en_NZ
