Looking at it from all angles : an annotated bibliography of writings on New Zealand feature films, 1985-1996

Abstract

This is a selective bibliography of secondary published literature on New Zealand feature films. It is intended to help those with an interest in New Zealand feature films to analyse those films. The literature in this bibliography includes articles from film journals and other periodicals, chapters from books, and texts that discuss films from the period. It also includes references to articles in foreign language film periodicals and in academic theses. Due to time and cost limitations these have not been annotated. The literature focuses on analyses of the films themselves, aspects of their production and the motivating forces behind them. Except for detailed analytical reviews, reviews in general are not included. If a film does not have any bibliographic entries there is nothing written about it that falls within the selection criteria.
