dc.description.abstract Furniture has always been an essentiall element to creating successful liveable domestic space, creating its own spatial dynamics, functions and contributions to living space. When furniture is acknowledged as part of an architectural strategy it offers a largely ignored avenue of exploration. This thesis will ask the question; can an increased integration of architecture and furniture provide stimulus to enrich the spatial design of the city apartment type. en_NZ
