dc.description.abstract The creative musical process, to me, is an emotional projection of my personal perceptions as stimulated by outside events, some things speakable or indescribable but subtlety remembered, having been transmuted into an empathetic need, urging me to speak out, with an awkward mouth. Creating music therefore becomes a medium for me to reflect on my interactions with other people, both the possible and the impossible. Thus music becomes a mirror to transfer my feeling into another dimension, to let me see myself from another angle. Through musical creation, I can face my instinctive feelings more honestly, unlike in the real world, where there are many polite restraints. In the portfolio, "Ventriloquy" and "One Snowy Night, I hear Calling from the Desolate Mountain" are my attempts to interpret themes from other art forms, in order to eliminate the boundary between different art forms, to integrate spacial and temporal arts forms into something new. By appreciating other artists' works I have a method for relating to other people; my aim is to transfer my personal aesthetic sensibility to an audience through music. en_NZ
