dc.description.abstract A description is given of a superhet receiver for use as a detector of noise radiation from gaseous discharges at a wavelength of 25 cms. Certain precautions have to be taken to ensure that the receiver is fed from a constant source impedance. The impedance of a discharge tube placed in a rectangular waveguide has been measured as a function of discharge current. en_NZ
